O'Reilly Tools Of Change Conference, & Changes Afoot For This Blog

Ahem. I lied again about my next post resuming the series from The IndieAuthor Guide, and again I don't feel too bad about it since this earlier post explained how to get a free electronic copy of the entire book during the month of December. And in fact, I've decided that going forward, I'll be alternating editorial/informational posts with posts in the series from The IndieAuthor Guide.

Bottom Line It For Me, Baby Version (200 words or less):

Planning to be in Manhattan February 9 - 11? Consider attending the O'Reilly Tools Of Change Conference on technology in publishing. I'll be part of a panel entitled The Rise of eBooks on the afternoon of the 10th, which is being chaired by Mark Coker (Smashwords, Inc.) and also includes Joe Wikert (O'Reilly Media, Inc.), David Rothman (TeleRead.org) and Russell Wilcox (E Ink). There will be numerous other presentations, workshops and panel discussions of interest to writers, publishers and anyone else with a stake in the future of publishing, plus a trade show and keynote addresses from Nick Bilton of the NY Times R& D labs, author Cory Doctorow, Jason Epstein of On Demand Books, Jason Fried of 37 Signals, Jeff Jarvis of Buzzmachine.com and Sara Lloyd of Pan McMillan. Click on the conference logo above to get more information about the conference. Hope to see some of you there!
